Primus Announce Willy Wonka Themed Album & Tour

Last month, Primus announced that they would be releasing their re-imagining of the classic soundtrack to Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. The album will be released October 21st.  A fall tour in support of the album will kick off on October 22nd. Primus & the Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble is the band’s 8th studio album and first with drummer Tim Alexander since 1995. The band’s current lineup of Les Claypool, Larry “Ler” LaLonde, and Tim “Herb” Alexander is widely considered the “classic” roster. Alexander is currently recovering from recent heart surgery and hopes to be back later this year. For the meantime, Danny Carey, Tool’s drummer, has been recruited for two shows this September. Phases of the Moon Releases Full Music & Workshop Schedule

 

 

 

 

 

Phases of the Moon Music & Arts Festival has released the complete music and workshop schedule. The musical lineup features headliners Widespread Panic and The String Cheese Incident each playing two nights. The String Cheese Incident will also host the Lunar Landing Conspiracy, the details of this unique set have yet to be revealed. Other musical acts include; Railroad Earth, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule, Leftover Salmon, and many others. In addition to the musical lineup, Phases of the Moon is providing spectacular visual art, workshops, yoga, and much more. There will be a featured live painting area in between the two main stages where anyone who brings supplies is encouraged to paint to the music. The Sanctuary will  host the workshops, yoga, and healing areas.  Explore the schedule and start planning your weekend!
